On Wednesday evening, Content Republic won the prestigious golden award for Best Native B2B Advertising Programme for its ‘Lock Down? Stand up!’ platform. The award was presented by the Native Advertising Institute in Denmark. Bloomberg Media USA and the Philippines-based The Huddle Room also claimed awards in this category.
‘Lock Down? Stand Up!’ brought together the projects of Belgian entrepreneurs who offered free help to the business community during the first coronavirus lockdown. The projects were able to reach 2 million readers for free as a result.
The power of content
At the end of March 2020, Content Republic, the branded content division of Trustmedia, put out a call to submit projects. One thing that immediately stood out was that the solidarity on show crossed sectoral and regional boundaries. Flemish, Walloon and Brussels-based businesses from various sectors (consulting, automotive, IT, food, finance etc.) all submitted a wide range of initiatives. In the end, more than 200 businesses took part in the programme, including names such as Cegeka, AB-Inbev, Samsung, BMW, Montea, Isabel Group and Nissan. The initiatives were briefly summarised, grouped together and published on a clear overview page on the tijd.be and lecho.be websites. The platform was visited 250,000 times.
‘Thank you’ campaign
Tom Michiels, Director of Content Republic: “The enthusiasm of the entrepreneurs taking part was enough of a reward for us, so to see us claim this prize today is a fantastic bonus.”
This Saturday, De Tijd | L’Echo will be running an ad by Trustmedia/Content Republic about the award to once again express their gratitude to the entrepreneurs who decided to look after one another and to highlight the resilience of the Belgian business community.
